The Silhouettes Project

So this is the first time I’ve tried clicking silhouettes and since its my first time, they aren’t exactly perfect since I’m still learning how to use Photoshop to make the background white. Would love to hear your opinions about the pictures 🙂

Forgiveness – A Virtue

I’m sure we all have heard the saying, ‘The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong‘ but even though we hear this many times, how many of us do actually believe in it and how many of us actually forgive people after hearing this?

Whether it be someone close to you, or someone you barely know, we often hold grudges against those people for a very long time. Sometimes we even forget that that person had hurt us until he/she comes in front of us and that’s when we remember that we are we don’t like them. If this is the case, then don’t you think that the mistake or wrong he did to you, was probably not so big that you can’t forgive him/her.
On the other hand, there are people who have hurt us so deeply, that we cant stand to hear their name, and as soon as they come in front of us, all we wanna do is hurt them. But is this right? Should we also hurt them just because they did? No! Ofcourse not! Because by doing so, you come down to their level and there will be no difference between you and that person. Instead of seeking revenge on them, we should forgive them. And we should forgive them not because we have to, but because we want to and because of the fact that by forgiving them, you are letting go of something that would have had a very negative impact on your psychological state.
Also, I’m sure that no matter how much we hate someone, we wouldn’t want that person burning in hell would we? So by forgiving them, you’ve done your part of saving them from that doom. Your forgiveness could decide whether the person goes to hell or Paradise. God, no matter how forgiving he is, he will not forgive a person until that person is forgiven by the person that he committed wrong against.
So start today! First forgive the small mistakes that people did, then slowly the big ones. Day in day out, forgive people and you will see how positively it will affect your life because now not only will you feel like a huge burden has been lifted off your shoulder but, because even God loves those who forgive, you’ll see that your life will improve in more ways than you could’ve imagined.

Many people are afraid to forgive because they feel they must remember the wrong or they will not learn from it. The opposite is true. Through forgiveness, the wrong is released from its emotional stranglehold on us so that we can learn from it. Through the power and intelligence of the heart, the release of forgiveness brings expanded intelligence to work with the situation more effectively. — David McArthur & Bruce McArthur

Take a Risk

A few days ago I listened to the song ‘Call Me Maybe’ by Carly Rae Jepsen and at first I was a bit hesitant to listen to it because I had read somewhere that JB had picked her or something, and I don’t particularly like JB songs. I listened to it first without watching the official video and it was an okay song, a bit cheesy for my taste but it was okay.

Then, a few days later I was surfing YouTube when I came across the video and that’s when I actually appreciated the song. The video had carried out such a strong message to me and I hope to all of you who listened to it as well. The video to me screamed out ‘Take a Risk!’

Carly hopelessly had a crush on an extremely handsome guy and she had been drooling over him for a very long time and one day she finally decided to make her move by inviting him to listen to her song but to her dismay, she finds out that the guy was gay. Oops! He popped her fantasy bubble didn’t he? But anyways, getting back to the point, did you realize that she took a risk? She made her move but was disappointed. That’s sad but the better part was that at least she found out about him before it was too late. Imagine if she hadn’t made the move, she would have kept dreaming over him for a very long time. But now when she took the risk, she found out the truth and that is why now she can move on to someone else.

She might feel bad for a while, but later when she finds her perfect guy, she would realize that it was for the best because sometimes god doesn’t give you exactly what you want in the way you want, sometimes he gives you what he knows is best for you but in a subtle and unexpected way. But for that you have to be willing to take a risk!

Take a risk on a guy or a job opportunity or just take a risk to do something extraordinary in your day! Take that risk my fellas!

Take a chance! All life is a chance. The man who goes farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare.
